About the Role

Lakeview Center is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide essential support to our counselors, therapists, and nursing staff in delivering high-quality care to adults and children with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Positive Relationships: Develop and maintain positive, helping relationships with individuals receiving services, fostering a sense of trust and respect.
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Support individuals in accessing necessary resources, building functional relationships, and promoting pro-social behaviors.
  • Ensure Health and Safety: Monitor and maintain a safe environment, ensuring the well-being of individuals receiving services.
  • Implement Interventions: Carry out specific interventions as outlined in individual treatment plans, promoting positive outcomes and progress.
  • Document Progress: Accurately record and document individual progress, providing valuable insights for treatment planning and evaluation.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience working with seriously mentally ill individuals or completion of 24 hours of college coursework.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience working directly with individuals with mental health needs or co-occurring disorders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide individualized support and services.
  • Certifications and Screenings: Must pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as applicable.
Compensation and Benefits

Lakeview Center offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay and supplemental pay for the Central Receiving Facility. Shift differential pay is also available for eligible positions.
