Job Summary:
Lakeview Center is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive behavioral health care to individuals with mental illnesses, substance dependencies, and intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support counselors and nursing staff in providing clinical assistance to adults and children receiving substance abuse and mental health services.
- Establish positive relationships with clients and assist with daily activities, resource access, and social interactions.
- Ensure the wellbeing of clients and implement interventions according to treatment plans.
- Monitor and document client progress.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with emotionally disturbed children or mentally ill adults preferred.
- Ability to provide integrated mental health and substance abuse services.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must pass background screenings and have a valid driver's license.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base pay starting at $16.12 per hour, with possible shift differentials.
