We are seeking a mature and strategic Chief Development Officer to guide the growth of our fundraising program.
The ideal candidate will partner with our Executive Director, Campaign Committee, and Board of Directors to successfully complete a $25 million comprehensive campaign.
The successful CDO will build deep relationships across the organization, further building the culture of philanthropy and integrating the development team into the fabric of the organization.
About the RoleThis is a senior leadership position reporting to the Executive Director and serving on the Leadership Team.
The candidate will build and lead a development team of two direct reports with oversight of an additional nine development professionals.
S/he will strategically engage the Executive Director, Campaign Committee, and Board of Directors in public outreach and fundraising activities.
Responsibilities- Budget: Estimated $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience
- Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to expand and diversify philanthropic income sources
- Build and carry a portfolio of major gifts prospects, including research, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
- Staff the Development Committee of the Board of Directors
- Partner with the Deputy Executive Director and Managing Director of Programs to oversee the government grants process
