Job Title: Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Interaction: Greet and welcome patients, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Phlebotomy: Draw blood samples accurately and efficiently, following established procedures for all age groups.
  • Specimen Processing: Prepare blood specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient questions and concerns.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records.
  • Verification: Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of blood samples.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other team members to deliver quality care.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification is required (especially in California, Nevada, and Washington)
  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record required
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations and work in various settings
