We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hockey Official to join our team at Ford Ice Centers. As a Hockey Official, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of hockey games and events.
Key Responsibilities- Enforce game rules and regulations to maintain a fair and safe playing environment.
- Make accurate and timely decisions regarding penalties, infractions, and game play.
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and other officials to resolve disputes and ensure a positive game experience.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of hockey rules, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Collaborate with other officials, coaches, and staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable game experience for players and spectators.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must have a Level 1 USA Hockey officiating certification or higher.
- Knowledge of hockey rules, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Physical stamina to perform duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in game play and rules.
- Exposure to cold temperatures and physical activity.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
