About the Role

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist CT to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist CT, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the operational workflow of our radiology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review Scheduled Appointments: Verify the accuracy of scheduled appointments, including exam type, contrast use, diagnosis, and authorization numbers. Request order changes to be faxed prior to the exam date.
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging studies by gathering historical data, assisting with room preparation, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the area.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate with patients, technologists, and radiologists to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. Escort patients to the pre-scan area, explain procedures, and review questionnaires to expedite the scheduling process.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records, answer phone calls, and cross-train for all office duties. Alert the file room for authorization to release patient information and direct patients to obtain copies of exams and reports.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Handle equipment in a responsible and professional manner, including coil selection and injection setup. Be proficient in room setup for routine exams and understand aseptic technique.
Requirements
  • Background in Radiology: Possess a general knowledge of medical terminology and a minimum of two years of clerical experience, preferably in the medical profession.
  • Technical Skills: Be IV competent, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull up to 150 lbs. Have a working knowledge of word processing skills and computer operation.
