Performs visual preventative safety inspections.Identifies and communicates problems to immediate supervisor.Recognizes emergency situations, initiates code procedures and administers first aid or CPR as needed.Completes needed follow-up documentation such as contrast reaction forms, extravasation reports and Safety Tracking Tools.Assist radiologists with CT guided drainages and biopsies.Verifies that patient has consented to the procedure and understands the risks, benefits, alternatives and follow up.Prepares and administers contrast media according to department policies and procedures.Evaluates lab values as required prior to administering contrast media and beginning interventional procedures. Is competent in aseptic technique and properly labels and handles multi dose containers.Is IV competent.Stocks supplies, monitors and reports supplies in shortage and special order items.Keeps work area clean and neat.
