This role is situated within the Computerized Tomography Department and involves working on a 12-hour shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, specifically on weekends (Friday to Sunday). The total weekly commitment is 36 hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate computerized tomography machinery to obtain diagnostic images of patients' internal structures.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients to facilitate targeted scans of specific body regions.
- Conduct routine warm-up procedures on the CT scanner to maintain the functionality of the X-ray tubes.
- Sterilize imaging equipment to uphold patient safety standards.
- Accurately interpret written scanning directives from physicians.
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues during imaging.
- Assess the quality of CT scans to ensure they meet technical standards.
- Communicate scanning processes to patients, providing necessary reassurance and support throughout the procedure.
Certification Requirements
- Must possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
