As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be instrumental in our organization's recruitment initiatives while providing essential administrative assistance to the HR team. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing recruitment processes and ensuring a smooth candidate journey, alongside supporting HR functions such as benefits management, HRIS oversight, and employee support. You will collaborate closely with hiring managers, recruiters, and HR colleagues to facilitate the entire recruitment cycle and help maintain a well-organized, efficient, and compliant HR operation.

Plymouth Housing Group is a nonprofit entity dedicated to developing and managing permanent supportive housing for individuals who have faced chronic homelessness. With properties throughout the region, Plymouth is committed to helping the most vulnerable members of our community secure stable housing. We do not merely aim to remove individuals from the streets; we offer supportive services such as case management and healthcare to ensure our residents can thrive in the long term. As part of our strategic vision, we are enhancing our internal behavioral health services and adapting our systems to meet the evolving needs of our residents.

YOUR ROLE AT PLYMOUTH HOUSING GROUP

  • Oversee and coordinate recruitment efforts, including job advertisements, candidate sourcing, resume evaluations, and interview scheduling.
  • Maintain effective communication with candidates, providing timely updates on their application status and managing interview arrangements.
  • Conduct reference checks, background investigations, and additional assessments as required.
  • Implement candidate feedback mechanisms to refine the recruitment process and enhance the candidate experience.
  • Leverage data analytics to assess recruitment metrics, identify patterns, and improve recruitment strategies.
  • Manage applicant data within the applicant tracking system (ATS), including updating candidate profiles, generating reports, and analyzing recruitment statistics.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires by preparing offer letters, employment agreements, and other necessary documentation.
  • Help organize recruitment events, job fairs, and community outreach activities to promote employment opportunities at Plymouth.
  • Engage in recruitment activities with a strong emphasis on equity and cultural awareness, supporting Plymouth's dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and HRIS.
  • Support the Benefits & HRIS Administrator with the management of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, modifications, and terminations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HRIS data, including processing new hires, status changes, and separations.
  • Create and maintain employee records, ensuring compliance with legal standards and organizational policies.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment and other periodic HR events.
  • Provide administrative support to HR leadership, including organizing agency-related events and meetings.
  • Participate in special HR projects and serve as a backup to the Benefits & HRIS Administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment coordination or HR support roles.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS (preferably ADP).
  • Familiarity with labor laws, employment equity regulations, and benefits administration.
