Role Overview
The Lumber Yard Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of team members involved in the loading, unloading, and delivery of materials, as well as the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment within the lumber yard and warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
1. Screen, interview, and hire new team members.
2. Train staff on job responsibilities and product knowledge related to yard and warehouse items.
3. Conduct performance evaluations.
4. Manage the receipt of incoming materials and ensure proper storage.
5. Prepare and reconcile shipping documents.
6. Supervise customer loading and assist in load building.
7. Ensure compliance with shipping specifications and safety standards during loading operations.
8. Coordinate the movement of shipments to their destinations.
9. Assist customers with loading inquiries and inventory status.
10. Schedule truck operations for timely deliveries.
11. Support loss prevention initiatives, including safety and equipment maintenance.
12. Train staff on safe operational procedures and equipment handling.
13. Maintain cleanliness and safety in all outdoor areas.
14. Collaborate with in-store personnel and perform additional duties as required.

Requirements
1. 1 to 3 years of relevant training or experience.

Physical Requirements

- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Operating equipment with minimal supervision.

Compensation
Starting wages will be determined based on experience and education.
