Hybrid schedule: Remote work on Mondays and Fridays, with on-site presence required from Tuesday to Thursday.

CONTRACT DURATION
This role is contracted for one year, with the potential for extension based on performance and project needs.

POSITION SUMMARY – Senior Planning/Scheduling Engineer
The Senior Planning/Scheduling Engineer will be responsible for the formulation and upkeep of project timelines, the establishment and assessment of project baselines, and the oversight of progress tracking. This role involves creating comprehensive job schedules and plans for logistics projects, as well as developing execution work packages and monitoring advancement. Familiarity with cost engineering methodologies, particularly in relation to scheduling and budgeting, is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate planning resources in alignment with major capital project estimates and timelines.
  • Oversee general coordination and monitor the advancement of activities as per job plans and worklists.
  • Collaborate with project managers to refine job plans.
  • Revise plans to incorporate approved change orders and develop new plans as necessary.
  • Establish a regular reporting schedule to communicate planned versus actual progress.
  • Analyze work challenges and propose solutions to enhance execution.
  • Modify plans based on feedback from execution teams.
  • Conduct critical path analysis to identify key project milestones.

EXPECTED DELIVERABLES

  • Create detailed and summary-level schedules.
  • Develop comprehensive Critical Path Method (CPM) logic-driven baseline schedules for projects.
  • Conduct monthly progress assessments and generate target comparisons and periodic look-ahead schedules, ensuring detailed tracking of progress.
  • Maintain strict adherence to ethical and compliance standards.
  • Develop and periodically refresh cost and/or resource-loaded schedules.
  • Engage in all project schedule reviews as necessary during Operations Review Meetings (ORMs) or similar sessions.
  • Contribute to the development and preparation of proposal presentations, including initial bar chart schedules and staffing plans.
  • Provide support and training in project and scheduling software for both office and field personnel.
  • Facilitate schedule and Work-In-Progress (WIP) reviews.
  • Collaborate with various teams to synchronize schedules and models.
  • Interpret data, compile reports, and deliver presentations as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost engineering, cost estimating, planning, scheduling, and project controls within the logistics sector.
  • Extensive experience in developing portfolio program schedules and Gantt charts using scheduling software.
  • Ability to optimize resources and identify scheduling constraints effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project with intermediate skills for managing project timelines.
  • Experience with major capital projects is essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in scheduling software applications, particularly Primavera, with a preference for experience on large-scale projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to foster a positive work environment.
  • Self-motivated and autonomous with superior planning and organizational skills.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline.
