Role Summary:

We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned Financial Accountant based in Las Vegas to bolster our finance division. This role entails overseeing the financial activities of our entities in Las Vegas and Los Angeles while providing support for finance-related tasks across the restaurant group. Primarily remote, this position will necessitate occasional visits to the Las Vegas location to gain insights into operations and foster relationships with the management team.

Key Duties:

  • Prepare management accounts, balance sheets, and income statements for each US entity. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Conduct variance analysis and deliver insights for informed decision-making.
  • Supervise daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, invoice processing, and weekly payroll runs. Ensure precise financial transaction postings and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Support the establishment and monitoring of internal controls. Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies. Assist with both internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate effectively with the finance team and other departments.
  • Report daily, weekly, and monthly sales for US entities. Process sales journals and perform reconciliations.
  • Work alongside HR to ensure accurate processing of payroll journals and reporting. Assist in reconciling payroll reports and addressing discrepancies.
  • Help maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Support internal and external audits.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve controls within the finance function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Qualified or part-qualified accounting certification from a recognized professional body.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality sector.
  • Strong grasp of financial principles and reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
