Position Overview:

We are in search of a meticulous and seasoned Financial Accountant based in Las Vegas to bolster our finance division. This role entails overseeing the financial functions of our establishments in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, while also supporting financial activities across the restaurant network. Primarily remote, this position necessitates occasional visits to the Las Vegas location to gain insights into operations and foster relationships with the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile management accounts, balance sheets, and income statements for each US entity. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Conduct variance analysis and offer insights to aid decision-making.
  • Supervise daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, invoice processing, and weekly payroll runs. Ensure precise financial transaction entries and reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in the establishment and monitoring of internal controls. Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies. Support both internal and external audit processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with the finance team and other departments.
  • Report daily, weekly, and monthly sales figures for US entities. Manage sales journals and reconciliations.
  • Work alongside HR to ensure accurate payroll journal processing and reporting. Aid in reconciling payroll reports and addressing discrepancies.
  • Help maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Support internal and external audits.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, boost efficiency, and strengthen controls within the finance function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Qualified or part-qualified accounting certification from a recognized professional body.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles, ideally within the restaurant or hospitality sector.
  • Strong grasp of financial principles and reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
