Branch Service Manager

Job Summary:

Rihm Kenworth- Winona is seeking a highly skilled Branch Service Manager to lead the Service Department and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive or truck service department experience, with a proven track record of supervisory experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement department budget goals in conjunction with the Controller, Branch Manager, and Director of Service.
  • Contribute to the achievement of department goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on shop activities and provide service estimates to customers in conjunction with Service Writers.
  • Review and assist in closing ROs for invoicing or the Warranty Department within 2 days of last touch by a technician.
  • Ensure compliance with warranty and policy.
  • Interact with factory and vendor representatives.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers.
  • Directly interact with customers, direct reports, and fellow employees to achieve best customer outcomes.
  • Review service complaints/issues and take appropriate action.
  • Maintain required and needed tool inventory.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • May perform some work on trucks and assist mechanics, except where prohibited by a collective bargaining agreement.
  • Attend management meetings when requested.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in automotive or truck service department experience.
  • 1+ years' successful supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business or management.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is regularly required to use arms, hands, and fingers to type, grasp, and reach.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
