Job Summary

The Branch Manager Trainee will play a crucial role in learning all aspects of branch operations and branch management. This position involves taking direction from multiple sources to gain a comprehensive understanding of the branch's functions and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in building sales and maintaining house accounts through active communication with dealers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Conduct outbound calls to existing and lost customer accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain sales programs within assigned territories by keeping customers informed about available services, supplies, prices, and new products.
  • Provide exceptional customer service via walk-ins, phone calls, and emails, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
  • Execute all aspects of the sales function, including order processing, purchase orders, payment processing, quotes, and delivery dates, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Reach out to customers periodically to determine their satisfaction with the organization, products, and services.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on sales activities and manage inventory levels.
  • Expand knowledge of HVAC products and stay current with the latest industry trends.
Learning and Development

The Branch Manager Trainee will have the opportunity to learn the roles and responsibilities of all functions and departments within the branch, including:

  • Counter duties: face-to-face interaction with customers, completing transactions, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Warehouse duties: safely operating a forklift, proper loading and unloading techniques, and filling customer orders.
  • Driver duties: delivery process, documentation procedures, DOT regulations, and internal safety protocols.
  • Branch Manager duties: learning employee relations, timekeeping, inventory control, asset protection, and other essential skills.
Requirements
  • 3 years of customer service, retail, or HVAC experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate knowledge of the complete operations of the branch within 8-12 months.
  • Effective customer service, relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Positive, professional attitude, and ability to handle difficult customers.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers and employees.
  • Ability to use good judgment and strong work ethics and integrity.

The Branch Manager Trainee will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with all levels of management and peers to ensure the branch operates efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will be able to work positively with others, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
