Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team at Teledyne Scientific Company (TSC). As a Research Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced algorithms on PC, GPU, and SoC architectures for machine learning applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver novel solutions to a broad range of problems, including applications in target detection and tracking, deep learning, machine learning, and decision systems.
- Collaborate with other colleagues to develop and implement advanced algorithms.
- Assist with customer interaction to demonstrate and deliver research results through written reports, briefings, and participation in program reviews.
- Strong foundation in numerical techniques, including FFT, Monte Carlo, finite elements, linear algebra, PDEs, ODEs, statistics, etc.
- Experience with specific computational domains, such as machine learning/artificial intelligence, image processing, signal processing.
- Experience with CUDA and GPU programming is strongly desired.
- Familiarity with scientific programming in Python is required.
- Experience with C or C++ is required.
- Familiarity with standard math libraries, such as BLAS/LAPACK/ScaLAPack, etc.
- Familiarity with software development practices, including revision control, compiler tricks, debugger, etc.
