Job Summary:

Teledyne Scientific Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist to lead advanced research and development efforts in machine learning, signal processing, and other cutting-edge technologies. As a key member of our research team, you will drive strategic direction, program capture, and research and development tasks related to mathematics, computer software, and algorithm development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead programs as a Principal Investigator
  • Develop and implement mathematical algorithms for signal/image processing and machine learning
  • Design and develop software related to signal/image processing and machine learning
  • Work closely with team members to develop solutions to challenging problems
  • Prepare and present results to customers, executives, and technical staff

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience with program capture and leading programs as PI
  • Strong foundation in numerical techniques (FFT, Monte Carlo, finite elements, linear algebra, PDEs, ODEs, statistics, etc.)
  • Expertise with specific computational domains, such as machine learning/artificial intelligence, image processing, signal processing
  • Experience with prototyping and analyzing algorithms
  • Experience with CUDA and GPU programming strongly desired
  • Familiarity with scientific programming in Python is required
