Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in North Richland Hills, Texas.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to provide in-patient, out-patient, and/or neighborhood clinic services to children with various communication disorders. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field, and be certified in Speech/Language Pathology or eligible for certification.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care services, including screening, assessment, evaluation, treatment, and home programming for children with feeding and swallowing disorders, articulation, voice, resonance, fluency, receptive/expressive language disorders, hearing loss, and the need for AAC devices.
  • Engage in direct consultation and collaboration with physicians, nurses, other professionals, clinics, and agencies within Cook Children's Health Care System and the community.
  • Document and correspond with patients, families, and healthcare providers, following department and system policies.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech/Language Pathology, or eligible for application upon completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • Spanish proficiency levels defined by Cook Children's Health Care System, measured by objective and nationally recognized oral language, reading, and writing tests.
