About the Role

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-patient, out-patient, and/or neighborhood clinic services to children with various speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance development, restore function, and prevent disability.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document and communicate patient progress and treatment plans to families and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based clinical tools.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in speech/language pathology, communication disorders, or related field.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultural and ethnic populations.
  • Spanish proficiency required, with ability to meet Cook Children's Health Care System's language proficiency standards.
  • CPR-BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
  • State license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech/Language Pathology or eligibility for application upon completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.
