About the Role

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing in-patient, out-patient, and/or neighborhood clinic services to children with various communication disorders. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, evaluation, and treatment services to children with communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based treatments
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
