Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Representative to join our team at Virginia Hospital Center. As a Patient Care Representative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and registrations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Coordinate insurance verifications and preauthorizations to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare and maintain patient charts and medical records.
  • Assist physicians, Practice Manager, and clinical staff as needed to ensure smooth patient care operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Two years of office/clerical experience required; two years of healthcare/medical experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
