Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist, Cardiology Full-Time Position

Penn Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in the Cardiology department at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering innovative healthcare solutions.
Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense medications using appropriate techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to health system policies and procedures.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to drug information requests from healthcare providers and patients, ensuring continuity of pharmaceutical care across acute and ambulatory settings.
- Participate in the established process for assessing, managing, and reporting Adverse Drug Events (ADEs), and assume responsibility for adherence to medication-use policies and guidelines.
- Manage time effectively to fulfill practice responsibilities, and comply with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements for the specific practice setting.
- Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or 2 years of practice experience (preferred).
- PGY-2 Pharmacy Practice Residency (preferred).
