As a Clinical Pharmacist in our Inpatient Unit, Advanced Medicine, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including medication therapy management, patient education, and medication safety initiatives.
Our Inpatient Pharmacy Department supports over 950 inpatient beds across our HUP Main Campus and the HUP Pavilion. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and dispense medications using appropriate techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to drug information requests from healthcare providers and patients.
- Ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care across acute and ambulatory settings.
- Participate in the management of medical emergencies and adverse drug events.
- Assume responsibility for adherence to medication-use policies and guidelines.
- Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or 2 years of practice experience (preferred).
