About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist to join our team in a float full-time position at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). As a key member of our Inpatient Pharmacy Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense medications using appropriate techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide timely and concise responses to drug information requests from healthcare providers and patients.
- Ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care across acute and ambulatory patient-care settings.
- Participate in the management of medical emergencies and adhere to medication-use policies and guidelines.
- Manage time effectively to fulfill practice responsibilities and comply with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or 2 years of practice experience (preferred).
- PGY-2 Pharmacy Practice Residency (preferred).
