Job Summary

The Electrophysiology Invasive Specialist provides critical support to physicians in the Electrophysiology Lab, ensuring timely, safe, and efficient procedures. This role requires proficiency in all aspects of electrophysiology, sterile preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in enhancing hemodynamic and angiographic techniques, anticipating equipment needs, and setting up and monitoring EP recording computer systems.
  • Record temporary playback of procedures for initial review by physicians, and assist with mapping, stimulating, and catheter insertions as required.
  • Adhere to approved standards of aseptic technique, maintain a clean and safe environment, and facilitate implementation of physician orders accurately and promptly.
  • Promote interdepartmental relationships, maintain a professional working environment, and recognize potential emergency situations, implementing preventative measures as directed by physicians.
  • Assign and supervise tasks, perform monitoring, recording, and scrubbing responsibilities with exceptional professionalism and expertise, and maintain a working knowledge of drugs commonly used in the Lab.
  • Ensure radiation safety, minimize risk of exposure to hazardous materials, and operate, problem-solve, and improvise for common equipment malfunctions.
  • Ensure proper rotation and removal of supplies, and accurately charge supplies and medications to each patient.
