JOB ROLE PURPOSE: The primary objective of a Certified Respiratory Care Specialist is to evaluate, treat, and support patients with respiratory challenges. They are crucial in providing respiratory assistance, performing diagnostic assessments, and ensuring high-quality patient care.
JOB ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- Hospital/Acute Care Facility: Deliver respiratory care, oversee ventilator operations, provide oxygen therapy, and engage in emergency interventions.
- Rehabilitation Facility: Create weaning strategies, implement sputum clearance techniques, and instruct patients on respiratory wellness.
- Outpatient Clinic: Administer respiratory treatments, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and offer outpatient services.
- Nursing Home: Provide respiratory support for residents with chronic respiratory conditions.
