Work Environment and Schedule
Northwest Asthma and Allergy Center operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Role Summary
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) plays a crucial role in facilitating a positive patient experience at our clinic. As the initial point of contact, the PSR is responsible for managing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and performing various administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients upon their arrival
- Confirm and update patient records for accurate billing
- Secure necessary patient consents
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Verify insurance details and ensure all required information is entered into the EMR system
- Handle patient communications and inquiries
- Collect co-payments and outstanding balances
- Assist with referral management, including insurance verification and record collection
- Monitor the patient waiting area
- Perform document scanning, faxing, and mailing as required
- Occasional travel to other clinic locations may be necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate empathy, and manage multiple tasks
- Effective communication skills with attention to detail in spelling and grammar
- Proficient in using computer systems and telecommunication devices
