Job Summary

The Director of Sales will be responsible for directing and overseeing the organization's sales policies, objectives, and initiatives. This role will involve developing and implementing district-level sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and achieving financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement sales initiatives, processes, and tools to support the sales organization's operations.
  • Oversee goal setting for departmental and group levels of the sales organization and use data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes.
  • Implement methods and systems to analyze and monitor the industry, business environment, clients, and competitors to expand the business.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new solutions or products based on market and customer insights.
  • Build and manage effective sales and support teams through recruiting, mentoring, and development programs.
  • Participate in and negotiate strategic high-value sales.
  • Manage departmental budget and create strategies to meet the organization's strategic sales goals.

Requirements

  • BS/BA or 7+ years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated success in direct sales and sales management (VAR experience preferred).
  • Strong business, sales, and financial acumen.
  • Experience dealing with senior-level executives (VP level or higher).
  • Deep knowledge of the technology marketplace, OEM solutions, and VAR channel programs.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Physical environment: typical business office environment or home office environment.
  • Requires use of general office equipment and personal computer equipment.
  • Ability to travel, including auto and air travel.
