Key Responsibilities

  • Manage patient scheduling and appointments across multiple phone lines.
  • Collect and maintain new patient information and track referrals.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication.
  • Process and log all reports sent to medical professionals.
  • Handle payment collection and verify insurance details.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring proper distribution.
  • Facilitate the completion of benefits paperwork for billing purposes.
  • Coordinate patient communications and scheduling, including reminders and cancellations.
  • Gather new patient intake data and monitor clinic referrals.
  • Fax necessary documents to physicians and maintain logs of incoming correspondence.
  • Verify insurance coverage and manage patient co-payments.
  • Communicate effectively with the office manager and clinical staff regarding patient arrivals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask with attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and empathy towards individuals in distress.
