Position Title: Building Automation Programmer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement control algorithms, upload source code to controllers, manage system databases, and create an interactive front-end graphical user interface.
  • Facilitate integration across multiple systems, ensuring different protocols communicate effectively and share information seamlessly.
  • Oversee project initiation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of installed Building Automation System (BAS) controls and mechanical systems for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with the customer’s IT Department to coordinate the layout and management of network drops, IP addresses, and monitoring tools.
  • Engage with equipment vendors to align communication protocols, encryption, and database requirements for system integration.
  • Generate semi-complex reports to analyze system performance, working with the project team to validate system operation against the contracted scope.
  • Participate in final inspections and testing, ensuring customer satisfaction, and provide training for end users on system functionalities.
  • Deliver Plans & Control System Documents to application engineering for as-built drawings utilizing the latest digital technologies.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with Tridium Niagara AX/N4, with a focus on Niagara N4.
  • Proficient in Direct Digital Controls, LON, LonWorks, BACnet, and Tridium Niagara systems.
  • Familiarity with manufacturers such as Honeywell WEBs, JCI Facility Explorer, Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, Delta Controls, and Distech is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, ranging from Unitary Systems to Central Plants.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to differentiate between HVAC and computer/controller issues.
  • General knowledge of IP networking.
  • Proficient in Windows Operating System.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must successfully pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
