Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant III to join our team at the City of Augusta GA. The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support to our department, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the department head, including coordinating travel arrangements, preparing reports, and maintaining files.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and conferences, including preparing agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including personnel files, budget reports, and other departmental documents.
  • Develop and implement administrative procedures and policies to ensure efficient and effective departmental operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Five years of experience in administrative support, customer service, office management, and/or project management, including experience supporting senior-level staff or management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
