Aerospace Inspector III Job Description

At StandardAero, we're committed to excellence in the aerospace industry. As an Aerospace Inspector III, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our maintenance and inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect aircraft systems, parts, and components to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards.
  • Determine the serviceability of aircraft systems and components using precision measuring guides and non-destructive testing.
  • Accomplish preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections of all articles repaired, maintained, inspected, or altered by the facility.
  • Comply with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Quality Procedures (QPs), and Local Work Instructions.
  • Provide procedural guidance to technicians and delegated inspectors, and train and assist them in proper work procedures and practices.
  • Monitor work in progress to ensure proper paperwork, procedures, techniques, and methods are used.
  • Document inspection results in inspection paperwork and log books, and ensure that work performed is accurately reflected on the work order.
  • Research logbooks, prepare logbook entries and sign-offs for approval, and certify articles as airworthy upon completion of maintenance and/or alteration.
Requirements:
  • High School degree or GED equivalent.
  • A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
  • 5 years experience as A&P Mechanic, with corporate aviation experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and 20/20 vision (corrected if necessary).
  • Good interpersonal and verbal skills to interface with customers and employees.
