Position Overview

The Senior Systems Architect will play a crucial role in managing and supporting a comprehensive Linux infrastructure. This includes the installation of commercial, government, and open-source software, as well as overseeing daily operations, system monitoring, and troubleshooting across all computing, networking, memory, and storage components. Additionally, the architect will ensure the integrity of system security and configure network elements while implementing enhancements to operating systems for improved reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in utilizing the Linux Command Line Interface (CLI)
  • Skilled in scripting with Bash and Python
  • Experienced in System Administration, including the installation, configuration, and support of various software in extensive Linux cluster environments
  • General understanding of computing, networking, memory, and storage systems
  • Familiarity with Red Hat Satellite for systems management
  • Proven experience in maintaining and supporting large Linux clusters, including daily operations and issue resolution
  • Knowledge of VMware ESXi and virtualization environments
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and automation tools like SaltStack and Ansible
  • Awareness of corporate security compliance policies and procedures
  • Experience with system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of distributed file systems like Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite, including Jira and Confluence
Clearance Requirement

Applicants must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with an appropriate polygraph.
