PMEL Support Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Services Clerk to join our team at Yulista Support Services LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing logistics management services for the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL).
Key Responsibilities- Complete material control, scheduling, shipping, and supply functions within the PMEL.
- Schedule all incoming TMDE as outlined in the Technical Order and Performance Work Statement.
- Manage the shipment of TMDE to and from off-base customers, preparing documentation for transportation and logging all shipping and receiving transactions in PAMS.
- Create and maintain computer-generated or manual forms and control logs for parts and equipment requests related to PMEL.
- Monitor TMDE in delayed or deferred statuses daily, performing and recording follow-ups within established timelines.
- Monitor projected workload and advise the PMEL Manager of significant increases or deviations from the monthly schedule.
- Take necessary actions to minimize overdue TMDE.
- Perform the TMDE Coordinator training program.
- Provide pick-up and delivery service on base as required by the Performance Work Statement.
- Responsible for ordering and tracking parts required to repair TMDE supported by the PMEL and notify customers of TMDE in a delayed status.
- Perform duties of the PMEL TODO.
- Research parts and equipment requests utilizing available resources prior to submission to base supply.
- Maintain and monitor equipment storage areas.
- Operate and use the PMEL Automated Management System (PAMS) to record parts requests and update the status of TMDE.
- Monitor and control the PMEL bench stock, adding and deleting parts as required, ensuring parts in stock do not exceed their shelf life, and pilferable items are properly marked and controlled.
- Organize and control the work center shop stock, assigning bin numbers, placing property in bins, and preparing inventories for laboratory technicians.
- Process proper paperwork to ensure issuance of kits for the performance of Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO).
- Control the PMEL Hazardous Waste Management program using EMIS, functioning as the primary point of contact between PMEL and the Base Hazardous Waste Management program.
- Monitor and control the PMEL Satellite Accumulation Points, accepting hazardous material and placing it in bins as required, maintaining records and logs for property, and turning material into RIPL when sufficient amounts are accumulated.
- Monitor and control the PMEL Precious Metals Program, turning precious metals into supply when sufficient quantities have been accumulated.
- Prepare monthly and TMDE calibration schedules and distribute to owning work centers for review and approval, publishing revised schedules as required.
- Inspect, perform user maintenance, and drive Company-owned vehicles.
- Visually inspect TMDE at owning work centers, noting condition, and ensuring all hardware and required technical data/documentation accompanies TMDE, storing TMDE in designated PMEL areas.
- Communicate with various depots and PMELs to plan, schedule, and coordinate outside repair/calibration support of TMDE, preparing TMDE for shipment, arranging transportation, monitoring progress, and maintaining a complete audit trail.
- Review manpower, equipment, and parts/material availability and communicate with the PMEL Manager to advise and recommend adjustments to PMEL repair/calibration schedules and priorities.
- Use PAMS and proper code format to input timely and accurate data to maintain the status of the TMDE Master ID file.
- As required, instruct TMDE Monitors in TMDE repair/calibration procedures, maintaining records of this training, and maintaining TMDE storage areas.
- Process equipment received from off-base calibration and maintenance.
- Familiarity with all facets of the US Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program with respect to local operations.
- Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs.
- Ability to use the PMEL Automated Management System to ensure accurate data entry.
- Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to generate routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and cooperatively with customers and all levels of management and staff.
- Must possess effective technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
- Exceptional ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
- Ability to follow all applicable processes.
- Exceptional professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service, and follow-up.
- Sufficient decision analysis and problem-solving skills and ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
- Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to goals.
- High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent ability to multi-task.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of verifiable positive PMEL or calibration technical experience required.
- Must satisfy background check criteria and be able to obtain a security clearance.
- Must be able to provide documentation of equipment and area discipline qualifications.
- Must be able to provide documentation of a proven excellent quality record as a calibration technician.
- Experience to include inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, calibrating, and certifying TMDE, and metrology laboratory working standards required.
