Job Summary:

The Patient Transporter is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of patients and patient-related items within the Medical Center and surrounding facilities. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients and patient-related items between departments and facilities
  • Operate various types of transportation equipment, including gurneys and wheelchairs
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure patient needs are met
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of transportation activities
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure timely and efficient patient care
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to speak clearly and effectively communicate with patients and staff
  • Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed
  • Valid Driver's License required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  • Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
