Job Title: Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer at Lightship Energy, Inc., you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing control and communication circuitry for our electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and select electrical components for our vehicles
  • Design main control and interface circuitry for vehicle systems
  • Design and/or support design of printed circuit boards (PCBs)
  • Bench test completed PCBAs and ensure their performance and reliability
  • Work closely with the software team to verify functionality and develop a test suite
  • Support integration testing and supplier management
  • Provide input in manufacturing of PCBAs
Requirements:
  • BS or above in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an electrical design engineer
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical schematics and control circuitry
  • Proven experience in microprocessor and associated peripheral design
  • Understanding of hardware interfaces such as ADC, CAN, and I2C
  • Experience with circuit simulation and schematic capture tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC
  • Comfortable with high voltage test equipment
  • General understanding of electric power systems and automotive standards
