Member Services Representative Job Description

The Member Services Representative plays a vital role in creating a positive member experience by providing exceptional customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing a superior level of customer service.
  • Handle all front desk-related activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, new member sign-ups, and taking prospective members on tours.
  • Facilitate needed updates to member accounts and respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform cleaning duties as required to maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers.
  • A passion for fitness and health.
  • Upbeat, professional, and positive attitude.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:

The Member Services Representative works in an indoor environment and is exposed to noise, dust, mechanical and electrical hazards, and cleaning chemicals. The primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk and stand for prolonged periods, frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements.

Must maintain physical ability to administer CPR in the event of a medical emergency.

Compensation: $10.00 - $10.50 per hour.
