Chicago, Illinois, United States Chicago Public Schools Full time

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) stands as one of the most extensive educational systems in the United States, catering to over 320,000 learners across more than 600 institutions and employing around 50,000 personnel, predominantly educators. CPS is committed to ensuring that every student, in every institution and community, receives a premier educational experience that equips them for success in higher education, professional endeavors, and civic engagement. To achieve this mission, we uphold three core commitments to our students, their families, and the broader Chicago community: academic advancement, financial integrity, and ethical conduct. Our six foundational values are integral to these commitments - student-centricity, holistic development, equity, academic excellence, community collaboration, and perpetual learning.

The Office of Information and Technology Services (ITS) is dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of schools in leveraging information and technology, maintaining network infrastructure, upholding security standards, and assisting other departments in achieving district objectives. ITS delivers innovative technological solutions that elevate the educational experience for students, alleviate administrative burdens on educators, foster parental engagement, enhance community involvement, and support CPS' mission of transparency by prioritizing equitable access to information.

  • Design and document future-state operational processes, integrating best practices and industry standards to reduce costs and boost productivity.
  • Create process maps, diagrams, and documentation to convey proposed changes and secure stakeholder buy-in.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to assess technological solutions and tools that facilitate business process automation and optimization.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the success of process enhancement initiatives and monitor performance over time.
  • Work alongside IT, management, and operational teams to ensure proposed process modifications are feasible, aligned with technological capabilities, and support business strategy.
