Job Overview

Primary Objective: To prepare and present food for dining establishments, staff meals, events, and special occasions, adhering to the hotel's standards for quality and quantity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To meticulously follow all guidelines to efficiently prepare and showcase all food items, including accommodating special requests from guests.
  • To manage food rotation in refrigeration units to reduce waste and spoilage.
  • To uphold cleanliness standards in refrigeration units in compliance with Health Department regulations.
  • To assist in procuring food supplies as directed.
  • To support in overseeing and refining the presentation and portioning of food in line with established standards.
  • To adhere to all guidelines for properly setting up hot or cold service stations.
  • To relay all guest requests to the appropriate supervisor promptly and professionally.
  • To promote and adhere to all policies and procedures of Temecula Creek Inn.
  • To report any suspicious activities and hazardous conditions immediately.
  • To maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas consistently.
  • To practice safe working habits at all times to prevent injury to oneself and others.
  • To ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of all relevant equipment.
  • To participate in all mandatory meetings as required.
  • To undertake additional tasks, including cross-training, as directed.

Qualifications:
Knowledge + Education: Ability to comprehend basic English and follow simple verbal instructions. Intermediate knowledge of production and operations in all relevant kitchen areas is essential. Familiarity with the proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and machinery is required. A valid California driver's license and proof of personal automobile insurance are necessary. Previous hotel experience is preferred.

Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient. Quick learner with a safety-focused mindset. High standards for quality in production and service. Courteous and friendly demeanor. Strong team player with a customer service orientation. Capable of working effectively with minimal supervision. Trustworthy and dependable.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk short distances throughout the shift. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift to perform routine job tasks. Frequently required to handle and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. over short to moderate distances. Flexibility and good reflexes are necessary for operating electric carts. Must be able to work effectively under pressure.
