Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Integrated Dermatology. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatology team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and triage, obtaining and documenting medical history and chief complaints in our electronic medical record system.
  • Document allergies and medications, and obtain informed consent from patients.
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures, and scribe as needed.
  • Assist with skin cancer surgeries, medical procedures, and cosmetic procedures.
  • Manage prescriptions and communicate with patients regarding pathology results and scheduled excisions.
  • Prioritize authorizations and biologics, and maintain accurate records.
  • Clean and restock exam rooms, and assist with inventory management.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including answering phones and scheduling appointments.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience, with EMR experience required.
  • Dermatology experience preferred, with Mohs experience a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required.

Work Environment: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm. Must be able to work in both Waterbury and Southbury locations.

Compensation: Pay starts at $20.00 per hour, with increases based on experience.
