Position Summary

We are currently in search of a skilled Advanced Controls Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal as we continue to expand our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical and control system design solutions adhering to established engineering principles.
  • Analyze client specifications, identify design parameters, and resolve engineering challenges while ensuring accurate implementation within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with the controls programming team to maintain standardized machine control platforms, including wiring and debugging as necessary.
  • Provide thorough project documentation, including machine sequences for programmers.
  • Finalize designs to align with project specifications.
  • Prepare detailed Bills of Materials.
  • Engage in internal and customer design reviews for all assigned projects.
  • Construct complex automation systems with a focus on electrical and pneumatic components, including panel layout and wiring.
  • Integrate automation devices with machine controls, such as Servo Drives, Robots, and vision systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety objectives and legal standards for all completed work.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of machines at customer sites.
  • Create user documentation, including manuals, programming diagrams, and electrical schematics.

Required Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with electronic equipment and computer software.
  • Background in automation engineering is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000, and SolidWorks.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of control and electrical system design in automated industrial applications.
  • U.S. citizenship is required; no visa sponsorship is available for this position.
