Your Role

As an Equipment Reliability Specialist, you will be instrumental in sustaining and enhancing the operational efficiency of our battery material production facility. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure the dependability and effectiveness of our manufacturing equipment. Your responsibilities will encompass the execution of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions, and working alongside various teams to continuously refine our reliability methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and minor repairs to maintain equipment functionality. Design and implement thorough preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Swiftly and accurately identify equipment failures and malfunctions. Conduct repairs utilizing appropriate tools, techniques, and safety measures. Order and replace defective parts and components.
  • Performance Optimization: Examine equipment performance metrics to detect potential issues and trends. Initiate reliability enhancement initiatives, such as Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), to maximize operational uptime. Formulate and execute maintenance plans and procedures.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Keep meticulous records of all maintenance activities and equipment history. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, protocols, and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to address maintenance challenges. Communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies in maintenance and reliability. Engage in training programs to enhance your expertise and knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Maintenance Technician role or a related field.
  • An associate's degree in a technical discipline; mechanical engineering or industrial technology preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing setting with a strong focus on maintenance and repair.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues effectively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of preventive maintenance principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and maintenance management software.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to pass a respirator fit test and wear respiratory protection as needed.
  • Use of personal protective equipment, including lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe shoes.
  • Capable of lifting items up to 50 lbs with assistance from lifting equipment.
  • Ability to move long distances and remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Reach low shelves and items on the floor.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces.
  • Climb stairs or navigate containment walls.
  • Perform precise and repetitive handling of various materials.
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment in a fixed location.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Compensation: The starting base pay for this position ranges from $25/hr to $32/hr, contingent upon various factors such as education, experience, and skills. This role may also qualify for overtime.
