Role Overview: The Activity Director is tasked with overseeing all programming, organizing, scheduling, budgeting, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions for the community, aimed at enhancing residents' independence and quality of life, in alignment with the company's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster an engaging, creative, and rewarding social environment throughout the community, encouraging resident participation through a variety of high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie screenings, exercise sessions, clubs, games, artistic opportunities, educational classes, and more.
  • Actively participate in resident activities by personally leading events and motivating resident involvement in all activities, excursions, and special events.
  • Recruit, develop, manage, and schedule Activity Assistants, Drivers, and Community Volunteers.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Promote teamwork through collaborative interactions with colleagues and other departments.
  • Operate community vehicles as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Class C license required; Class B or Class C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in planning activities and assessing residents' needs.
  • Preferred one (1) year of experience in supervising and managing staff and volunteers.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including availability for holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts as necessary to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Proficient in operating a personal computer and familiar with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
  • For the health and safety of our team members and residents, compliance with vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required to prevent the spread of communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
