About the Role

Cottage Health is seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist I to join our team. As a Recreation Therapist I, you will be responsible for providing medically prescribed recreation therapy to inpatients and outpatients, interpreting and organizing treatment plans, and administering therapeutic recreation treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
  • Administer and supervise therapeutic recreation treatments, ensuring patient safety and well-being
  • Document medical records accurately and thoroughly
  • Participate in community outreach programming and program development
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve patient-centered care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field
  • Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
