Job Title: Senior Park and Recreation Specialist

The Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Park and Recreation Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role that will work under the direction of the District Superintendent II to manage and coordinate various programs within the district.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the re-establishment of Big Basin Redwoods State Park after the CZU Fire.
  • Supervise and coordinate several programs within the district, including planning and compliance, design and construction of park facilities, public engagement in park planning, real property management, and managing subject matter experts.
  • Serve as one of two lead planners for the district, environmental coordinator, real property liaison, and acquisition planning specialist.
  • Collaborate with the District's Management Team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Background Investigation clearance prior to appointment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
