Support Professional for Youth with Behavioral and Emotional Issues

At UMFS, we provide 24-hour intensive residential treatment on a staff-secure, unlocked 33-acre campus. Our multidisciplinary team integrates Collaborative Problem SolvingTM with family engagement, psychiatry, nursing, verbal and non-verbal therapies, social work, and counseling.
We collaborate with communities in a Systems of Care approach to ensure successful transition into residential treatment, through intervention, and back into the community.
We assess strengths and executive functioning to develop treatment goals for youth and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision, daily therapeutic care, programming, and crisis intervention for residents.
- Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team in the therapeutic residential program.
- Use Collaborative Problem-Solving techniques to help clients with challenging behaviors and to build helping relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Human Services related field and six months of experience working with youth with behavioral and emotional issues or Autism Spectrum Disorder required.
- Minimum of 2 years' related experience may substitute for degree.
