Position Overview

As a Senior Assurance professional, you will take the lead in coordinating and executing fieldwork on audit assignments while planning, directing, and finalizing the audit process. You will also be responsible for training Assurance Staff in the field, delegating tasks, establishing time budgets, and supervising team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of professional standards and regulatory obligations. Apply knowledge of GAAP and GAAS as needed, and effectively research technical issues that arise during audit engagements to reach sound conclusions.
  • Prepare precise and comprehensive work paper documentation with minimal management intervention, including validating and testing substantive support and conducting analytical reviews of account balances.
  • Oversee staff during pre-audit planning and fieldwork for engagements, including risk assessment, preparation of audit programs, and evaluation and testing of internal controls and client operating procedures.
  • Manage client relationships and assigned Assurance Staff to meet deadlines within budgeted timeframes.
  • Prepare all necessary financial statements and related disclosures, ensuring quality, thoroughness, and accuracy.
  • Deliver timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the client's business operations.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with staff, superiors, and clients, serving as the primary contact for basic client inquiries.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and ensure professional growth through ongoing education. Provide both formal and informal training to Assurance department personnel.
  • Anticipate and address client concerns, escalating issues to Managers and Partners as necessary.
  • Involve in overseeing staff and conducting reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedure engagements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • Several years of experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Strong understanding of audit services with knowledge of FASB regulations, GAAS, and GAAP.
  • CPA certification is preferred or demonstrated progress toward obtaining certification with active pursuit of the required exams.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
