About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Unit Assembler to join our production team at Kimball Electronics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly and production of electronic components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly Operations: Perform basic and routine electronic assembly operations on components and sub-assemblies, following established processes and procedures.
  • Quality Control: Adhere to all quality and safety guidelines, ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in performance feedback and contribute to the identification of technical issues related to required work.
  • Special Projects: Assist in special projects as directed by operations, including corrective actions, containment activities, and failure analysis.
  • Testing and Inspection: Conduct in-circuit and functional tests based on customer requirements, and inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Stand for 75% or more of the time, sit for 75% or more of the time, and lift up to 100 lbs. less than 25% of the time with assistance.
  • Cognitive Abilities: Use problem-solving techniques, read and follow production processes, and keep department records as needed.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of quality procedures, safety policy, and ability to use a Hand Scanner.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to contribute to a team effort, be flexible with hours and positions, and communicate effectively within the KEI team environment.
