Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Hand Assembler to join our team at Kimball Electronics. As a Hand Assembler, you will be responsible for performing basic and routine electronic assembly operations on components and sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs basic and routine electronic assembly operations on components and sub-assemblies
  • Follows ISO process sheet for the operation
  • Checks foot straps for ESD compliance as needed
  • Participates in performance feedback
  • Applies tape to boards or parts to avoid them being covered by solder
  • Removes tape after the units have gone through the wave or selective solder machines
  • Inspects units for damage done during tape and mask process
  • Supports and adheres to our safety, quality and 5S policies and procedures
  • Additional duties as necessary

  • Ability to differentiate colors 75% or more of the time
  • Ability to perceive spoken voice 75% or more of the time
  • Ability to hear warning signals over 70dB 75% or more of the time
  • Comprehensible speech 75% or more of the time
Requirements
  • Knowledge of quality procedures

  • Able to read and follow production processes
  • Ability to keep department records as needed
  • Able and willing to cross-train into other production positions
  • ESD knowledge
  • Able and willing to contribute to team effort
  • Ability to be flexible with hours and positions
  • Organized - promotes good housekeeping efforts
  • Ability to communicate within the KEI team environment
  • Good verbal and listening skills
  • Able and willing to contribute to the success of KEI's business initiatives i.e. scrap reduction, quality incentive program
