This position is responsible for testing and troubleshooting techniques at the unit level to meet production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs functional testing and troubleshooting techniques at the unit level to meet production and quality standards.
  • Analyzes unit failures to determine probable cause.
  • Interfaces with support engineers and/or electronic maintenance for corrective action.
  • Records shift testing and troubleshooting data on applicable data sheets.
  • Coordinates inter-shift communications on problems and new procedures when necessary.
  • Provides technical assistance in testing and troubleshooting as needed to lower level technicians.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in electronic technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three years electronics technology experience.
  • Good computer skills, ability to follow detailed program instructions.
  • Working knowledge of oscilloscope, voltmeter, toneohm and RCL meter.
  • Must be able to read/interpret schematics.
  • Requires a mixture of standing and sitting.
  • May require handling of or exposure to chemicals used in the assembly process.
  • Requires lifting of up to 35 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Inter, intra-departmental and external contact required.
